i have a son. he will be 2 in may.
i want to start taking him out on my bicycle. so, with the idea of having a front mounted seat (i dont want him nodding off out back!) i'd like to know what kid of bike is ideal for this type of use?
i live in Brighton, so would be generally heading to the seafront and heading along the coast (so nice and flat) :)

pics or links would be appreciated :)

what you lot got?

I just bolt a 'weeride' seat on my Dave Yates.

If you're looking at a bike specifically for kiddy duty, and you're using a weeride, I'd recommend buying a frame size larger than normal (bot more knee room for you) and fitting a higher rise stem (lifts you up a bit out of the way of the kid when they get bigger).

Front seats are OK until the wee un is too big for it when you'll have to buy a rear one again.

Best seat I have ever seen for kids is this one - and I have a pretty extensive amount of experience from 20+ years in the trade, mostly in Denmark where kid seats are very widespread.

I have got a Yepp for my little girl. She recently found out that she could fold over the windscreen and having the wind in her hair :D

It is a good seat and I can absolutely recommend is.
