Thinking of getting a frame that’s cracked as a long term project? Its very cheep as you would expect for a cracked frame but is it worth the hassle?

As I’m never going to have the money for a STS I thought I might give this a go as Ive always like the look of them.

Inclined to agree.. but if you know where to get it repaired cheaply it can be worth it.

Is this the one on Pinkbike? That's also in Keighley?

yep thats the one, what do you think?

Hmmm not too bad, theyre god frames but as above not rare.

I personally hate that colour on that one. I seem to recall reading somewhere that someone repaired one and its snapped again after.

Looks good IF you can get it repaired cheap.

If it costs a little to fix properly it's good value. BUT a working on built or part built you may be able to get for under £100

down to what the frame is made from - I think you can't reweld a 6061 frame without re heat treating the whole thing which could add to the cost. I "think" 7005 is ok but check with someone that knows.
