Sliding dropout err sliding.

Have you got this type of dropout?

If so, replace the cap head and serated washer with a larger diameter button head bolt and an antishake washer (not as agressive as the facory one), this spreads the clamp load over a greater area. Not had any problems with this set-up slipping on my Explosif.

Let me know if you need pics of the bolts / washers.

No halflink due to my tarty chain!

Was using anti shake washers but to no avail.
Pictures would be good.

Still no reason not to use a half-link, form should follow function.
Anyway, you'd have to look pretty hard to spot the half-link......

Hmm what quite do you mean sir? I thought you meant a full half link chain?

No, one of these.
Just use it with two master links to join it into the chain - far more reliable than a "normal" half-link like this.
I've never had any problems with them.

Cheap too

Cheers for that.

So whats the actual difference then?

The gusset ones just look like a normal part of chain attached to a half link? Something to do with cranked im guessing?
