Hi guys,
Having fitted a new headset and fork to a Merckx frame, I find myself in need of a few spacers to finish the job. The steerer is 1" threaded steel but it's not keyed at the back so I don't need the tabbed washers as are normally supplied with threaded headsets. All I need is roughly 5mm height of 1" threadless spacers to take up the gap!
Annoyingly I had quite a few such spacers until about a year ago - I gave the last ones away a fair while after I'd moved on my last bike with a threadless 1" steerer since I'd never need them again ... :roll: The new headset is alloy rather than steel so as long as the spacers are good and shiny they'll be a fine match.
Hoping someone can help! I think that one single 5mm spacer should be fine, otherwise a stack of 2mm ones could work.
