Yes - the stem is what makes the biggest difference - it was FMJs Ti/Cromo one that got me thinking!

Got over the saddle and seatpost, saddle still works and the seat post will get pinned with a couple of roll pins tomorrow :D

The Manitou1's fit the sheen of Ti really nicely. It is pretty period correct if that matters so much. I can see the point about having RS forks with early GT's but having my GT's with Manitou's and Marzocchi's then I'm a bad example too.

All depends on what you have on hand at the time of the build too. you can swap parts later if they come your way or your wallet permits :D
