oh and that saddle has to go, if not because it's heavy then because it offends my eyes

Saddle and post are easy & cheap starters, cranks come up on here regularly for little money and those pedals really have to go. But for me it's always wheels as it's what you'll notice most when riding. Going to batter the budget but I'd spend the £100 on some tasty wheels & what you get for selling your current pair could sort out the other bits

My 2 penneth:
pedals
seatpost
seat
cranks

Do not spend money on a bolt kit until you've done that, and possibly changed the cassette. Besides which going all titanium on bolts is silly when in fact there are some low stress areas of a bike that could take lighter aluminium bolts instead of titanium (e.g. bottle cage bolts, shifter mount bolts, brake lever mount bolts.

I bet your cranks alone weigh about 1 kilo or over !

saddle-> http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=58327

For cranks I'd keep an eye out for something second hand in the for sale section or hold out a spend a little more on something modern but light (e.g. deore 9 speed octalink cranks and bottom bracket).

If you don't need quick release wheels then replace your skewers with these: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=26621

Same goes for seat clamp e.g. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... delID=6255

If you are feeling really cheap/poor I have an sdg saddle with a small chunk missing that I can send you for postage cost. A seat cover would hide the damage, or a leather patch could be glued on with shoe-goo or marathon/bison (from sports shops).

:)
...will have a look in my box and see if there's anything I can donate.

I have some fsa square taper cranks but I think they are almost as heavy as your alivios at about 950g ! Bugger all else I have spare apart from a few bolts.
If you want some blue alloy bottle cage bolts pm me your address.

Good call on those pedals, very light at any price! Reckon we can do better on a second hand post though, 290g is still pretty hefty :p Uno's come up fairly regularly and should be a bit less...

I've seen Middleburn RS7s on here and occasionally ebay go for £40; that's a whole bunch of weight saved - getting on for a pound probably - and they are bloody lovely to boot

Still say look at the wheels/tubes/tyres before anything else though ;)

tyres and tubes are a reasonably cheap upgrade
seat /post need to go ,single speed it and thow away anything else you dont need on it
steel bars/stem ?
everything can be swapped for lighter stuff , some cheap wheels are quite light , get some good scales and start weenie-ing

think laterally - 6lb of body weight loss is easily acheivable by not drinking for four weeks. And that way, it works on ALL your bikes at once...
