Do you have a gps of the route you took?
Will do in a day or two, I need to clean it up as I managed to stop logging for part of the way. Hope you get well soon.
Edit: Route from station to Carats on Shoreham seafront here http://ridewithgps.com/trips/476490
Also updated in my GPS list, here: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=115483
Edit 2: If you choose OSM cycle on the ridewithgps.com website, you can see the rest of the Downs Link route.

Got a little bit "lost" leaving Horsham, but managed to wing it thanks to a handily placed bridalway and a bit of local knowledge.
Funnily enough, an answer to how to get from Horsham station to the Downs Link can be found on the West Sussex County Council website. As I'm on the committee established to chivvy WSCC into improving access and rights of way, I really should have thought of that beforehand.

As it turns out, at the point in Horsham where you and Dylan conferred and decided to go left along the A281 towards Brighton, the West Sussex Cycle Journey Planner would have taken us right, crossing the A24 onto the A264 and then turning off that onto Old Wickhurst Lane, which would have taken us down country lanes and paths to join the Downs Link to the north-west of Christ's Hospital.

I think next time I will just get the train to Christs Hospital and be done with it. Hopefully going to do this again in the next week or so.
