It looks like I'm going to be using Hope Pro-3's by the looks of it, looks like I need to make a few phone calls to some friends out there next week and see if they have any old stock in their machine shops first.

Ooo...the horrible noise, Phil Woods sound like a fine timepiece by comparision...go on...BLOW THE BUDGET

I think the Hope Pro III even though you know them fits your bill
Red
Fit and Forget (or easily changeable bearing or send them to hope to do)
28/32/36 hole

Road and non disc MTB use.

Keeps the Barnoldswick population in jobs too if you buy them ;)

I love the noise of the hope units, I got some pro2 evo's on the way to me at the moment

Go on, live a bit. Go for the Phil hubs. They will still be a good investment when your grandchildren are handing them on to the next lot. Absolutely the best hubs money can buy. My 30 year old examples are still butter smooth and free of play on their original bearings and still look brand new!

Dr S, stop it, I cannae afford Phil Woods! I can however afford some creme de la creme of UK manufactured hubs..... watch this space :D
