thanks mate , gary called the stealth black

GLOSS BLACK

this colour was an special order and cost additional 1000 bucks back in the days of 1993 .

I accept that a lot of the allure of a Klein is due to the detail of the paintwork but I am shocked they had the audacity to charge an additional $1000 for what looks to be a simpler less expensive to create finish than the standard off the shelf model.

I remember a thread on here a good while back suggesting (a little unkindly) that Kleins were the yuppies choice of bike, however the suggestion that a paint colour that was standard on many manufacturers base models was sold at a huge premium as a special edition buys credit for that suggestion.

Please don't get me wrong it is a cool bike but $1000 extra for a gloss black paint job....crazy in a distasteful way!

I agree with all the people complaining about the quality of picture taking! That's an unfair advantage so I will vote for the blurriest photo (with the flat tyre to boot!)....stauqmuk's GT STS.

Thanks, I'm just a regular guy with an insatiable love for bikes not cameras.

The STS might have got it but not loving the flat rear tyre!

The flat was explained in the nominations thread. This is my daily rider and after a long ride and a long walk home I read all about how terrible Activators are, how all the BoTM entries are garage queens and how good photography is an unfair advantage. With all this in mind I decided to leave the flat and snap a pic with my cell phone. Might have shot myself in the foot on presentation but this bike takes a beating every day of the year and I think it deserves the world. Thanks for the mention and there are better pics in my build thread if your interested.

I went with Audi-Allroad's Adroit purely for those spokes!

Great work everyone lots of top bikes to choose from this month.[/quote]

Thanks to everyone who voted for my Dekerf. It is still work in progress but couldn't resist a Christmassy entry for the Green, Gold and Red colour scheme! :D

Winner was well deserved.

Thought Stefans Yeti would do better though.... :?

Wow thanks guys for 3rd the craptivator and I are very
happy bunnies :D

I wish you all a prosperous new year and look forward to
entering more bikes

The Ritchey was a good choice...
