Here's my 96 Talera. Rescued from the local charity shop, the original groupset was rusted solid so I converted it to an SS. Currently being ridden 100 miles a week as my commuter!

Recent 'distressed' purchase I just finished putting together tonight (borrowed the wheels from my Pro-Flex 855).

My trusty steed since '89 despite my 855's steady presence. The GT Karakorum K2 in Violet Thunder:

I've had a piece of bailing wire holding that thumb shifter together for about 15 years. Put that bar on about 3 months ago and it took this photo to realize my brake levers must be skewed. Gotta check on that when I'm sober.

As a newbie can I just congratulate everyone in this thread, its taken me back and has reaffirmed my desire to buy a ball burnished Zaskar.

My two here, had the Xizang for a while, bought as a nos frame from the states and built with not so retro bits
Just finished the STS I Drive, I love the look of these bikes and have kitted it up to mostly original spec with the help of a few fellow retrobikers!

picked up this 91 zaskar frame (date stamped 90?) a couple of years back, built it immediately with what was onhand

rebuilt it using components from my 94 alan frame (after cracking it) getting it a little more retro

My GT Backwoods, nothing fancy. Original spec except for the Ritchey stem, IRC tires and the San Marco Rolls saddle!
