Got some XT parts allready, so decided to go for this gruppo and not XC pro. The rear mech is a bit special to me, cause I own it from back in the day

where on earth did you find the right fork? ! Wish i had,

they were light, the s works tange forks. I saw one on an ultimate the other day, i couldn't believe how light it felt. Thought it must be ti.

when the postman delivered the fork, I thought it was something else. Couldn't be a fork at that weight?

I bought it from someone who was selling the complete bike, but fitted with a suspension fork. The original fork was there too, according to the add, so I emailed the seller and asked him if I could buy the fork!

Very cool project. How are you going to touch up the chainsuck?

undecided about that...

3 options:

1 go to a local paintshop, and have them make the same colour (doing the touch up myself) pro: keeping original paint, forfilling con: still a pretty rough look
2 frame / fork completetly repainted pro: like new look con: most expensive option
3 powdercoat pro: affordable, durable con: don't now enough about this, but I think I'll loose the fade into purple. I do like the burgundy much more then the purple of the rear triangle though!

any opions are welcome!!

I'd go option 2, Pro paint job. Make proper job of it. I think the frame set & parts deserve it.
