Pace RC36 Pro Class. How to convert 90mm to 70mm ??

Anyone know how to convert a pair of Pace RC36 Pro Class Forks from 90mm to 70m

Ive disasembled the forks and they seem to have 2 x 20mm srings at the bottom of the stack.

removing the 20mm spring is easy but the nylon/plastic post is too long for the 70mm version.

If anyone knows anything more about this please let me know

alternativly where can i get them serviced in the UK for "reasonable price"
 
There is a little metal pin in the plastic support. You need to push it out to remove the extra 2 cm.

TBH if I were you I'd just leave them with 90. My RC36s are so plush that it just gives them a bit more sag. Can't say it affects the riding position or steering that much.
 
Servicing-wise - there is only one choice.
Speak to Tim - justbackdated - he is the man when it comes to Pace forks.

i had noticed the markings on the plastic posts but didnt realise they were pinned. easy conversion to 70mm. sorted

forks still feel sloppy so gonna have someone look at them. Im guessing thats Tim from fork english.
