Help Identify This Frame

Hi All,

Have a frame that I'd like to try and identify.

It is an alloy frame that is has a strange jointing method as you can see from the pics. It is deffo alloy and MTB but there are no manufactorers logos. It is a top pull frame and there are 2 captive bolts inserted into the back of the seat tube (never seen this before). On the underside of the rear seat stay gusset (which has been machined out) the following has been stamped in; L43 93. It weighs in at just over 1.9kgs

Had a search online and from what I've seen I would think the frame is a Hagan Titanal.

Proably won't be keeping the frame so watch this space.

Will get a post on the "whats it worth" thread.

I have a complete bike with this frame, and mine is made by Modolo, the maker of nice brakes etc. It has the same polished finish as yours and has oversize tubing, plus the same bosses for brakes etc. I'm probably biased but it looks great. There is no connection to Vitus. The original tubing came from Austria, and appears to have been used for making ski accessories as well as bike frames. Titanal is pronounced "Tyetanal". Hope this info. helps.
Mine will be available along with others, including a Vitus 992 Magic and a Vitus 787m Futural sometime in the future.
