Build or buy?

I was going down the build a bike route (bits off e-bay and here) when you sit down and do the calculations it takes longer to amass everything and costs nearly as much if not the same amount of money so I ended up buying a bike off a fellow member on here, (now I've just got to get rid of 2 frames, 1 set gears , 1 set forks some handlebars and a pair of disc only wheels and hydro brakes doh).
Hopefully I should get back what I paid for the parts but the bike I've got is complete and I could be out on it next weekend and if the pics do it justice I'll be well happy.

You are spending too much on it. Is it a rider or a wall decoration?

If it's a rider, then with winter coming on I'd sling on vanilla Deore brakes, any old seatpost, bar and stem that came to hand and your old wheels.

When you know what works, swap as you see fit.

I started off like that and now have a sub-21lb singlespeed from what started 2 years ago as a parts box special.
