Went out on a recce last night, returned to the pub and changed the
route as we seem to have spent too long going up hill in mud, not the intended festive treat.
Wildlife encountered included 2 owls, a sheep with its head stuck in wire fence (most accomodating) and an irate farmer.
Looking forward to this.

The plan is to eat at a pub after the ride - however we haven't booked and so there is a risk it may be busy. It might be an idea to bring some food just in case. There is another pub that's now a curry house in the next village if need be as well. You might want to bring spare clean clothes to be more presentable in the pub.

Either the piano was out of tune or his playing was. Difficult to tell.

I shall soon be tackling the arduous task of washing my bike. It was a bit muddy in places.
Great little ride though. Particularly enjoyed hanging around outside the toilets drinking beer off a wheelie bin afterwards.
