picked this up the other day and has cleaned up nicely

its a 1966 ,531 tubing with suntour gears

the only snag is I think someone has swapped he crank over to a raleigh ??

I think the catalina was a 60's bike and before my time (which was the 70's LOL)...looks like it has had a few new bits

I think the crank lets it down a little so will be on the look out for something more appropriate.I live not too far from the old Carlton Worksop site so its nice to be bringing the bike back to this area.

Great looking machine Catalinas appeared around 58, does it have a frame number? It should have a prefix letter on it which will give the year of manufacture.

The frame number dates it from 1966

Classic period for Catalinas, I believe Capella lugs were used until 67 with the introduction of Crespera types.
