I shall consult a guy from work from Arran who has kids, try and get the low down. You could mail the Arran MTB club too if you fancy a bit of biking, very welcoming folks. If your taking a bike take a pair of slicks and do a loop of the island, on a good day its a great ride. Lochranza is a nice bit but a week might be boring, the south(ish) of the island has a bit more going on, Whiting bay and Lamlash with a quick bus to Brodick. Plenty walking in the area too. Also if your wanting a ride let us know were not far away.....I'm looking at Arran just noo
