1995-1996 Merlin XLM - a quick update, small changes

the non-standardness of M950 cranks was starting to irk me a bit

Great bike!
I have a 94 Merlin Mountain and am looking at a new set of forks.
How does the XLM ride with this set up and what is your frame size?

I've only ridden up and down the street so far, but the handling feels just as sharp as ever. This frame is an 18.75.

Back on rigiids for a while. Big fat 2.25in Schwalbe tyres. Titanium handlebar, Thomson seatpost. 20.72lb as it stands

Got a syncros Ti BB to go in when I find time

She could be prettier and more period correct, but this is bike of my life not bike of the month.

I'm keeping both sets of forks, it's nice to have the option

It's a great bike. I think I may well always own it.

That's one of my favourite quotes yet from this site, right there.
