Its not light but I think thats down, in part, to the very cheap rear wheel.

Its got a 24''+ CtoC top tube and there isn't much in the way of TT clearance - I wouldn't want to be any shorter
I do like the fact that on its own and at a glance it could be a std 26'' wheeled bike

Why not? Disc brakes just grind themselves away in the grit with their tight clearances whether you use them or not (after all, we've both ground to a halt half way round a wet D2D lap :evil: ) and it's not like you need serious stopping power in the flatlands of Thetford!!
