The spongyness from a double wrap means you can use the cheapo stuff off the net. I start at the ends with a VERY firm double wrap and work in.

I like them multi coloured wraps- would be kind of funky too to get yer bars wrapped up Bushido stylee:

I remember Fignon having his bars in a tricoleur scheme, though that was just straight wrapped with white tape on the flat of the bars.
