hi all
rescued this for a damp, leaky garden shed. 19?? RM Stratos. hoping someone can tell me the year. guy i purchased it from got it in trade for money owed to him by a friend about 12 or 13 years ago. he rode it a bit first couple years. since then hasn't been touched. just sat in back of shed with crap covering it and garden tools leaning up against it. it is in pretty rough shape. i will clean it up and hopefully it will be a good rider. he said that his friend had been an avid mountain biker. looking at the bike i can see some interesting after market parts. your comments are welcome.
thanks
roy

nice find, I would say between 90/92 because of the u brake which disappeared in 93 I believe. bullseyes hub and crank, syncros bar-ends and a beautifull tange switchblades fork.lovely...
take a look back after cleaning

awesome find

Love that bike..and what a top collection of bits, if a little mis-matched.

Will make a great restoration project

I'd go with 1989

and some nice parts on there to.

Correct decals and U-brake, 1

1990 changed the decals and switched to cantis and introduced their standard sloping top tube that year.

1988 had the U-brake on the chainstays

What a great find!!! That's an 89. 88 had the U brake under the chain stays. 90 had V brakes.

Curious what the plans are with this one and what is / isn't functional given it was stored in a damp shed.

From the pics, it looks like a good cleaning is about all it needs.

Great find and nice collection of Parts should look immense once cleaned and built.

I'll keep in touch as we appear to be in the same restoration boat.

Good luck :D
