My carbon RR bike.

Lovely bike and a great build too. I'm still not 100% sold on the starfish crankset but the rest of the gruppo is beautiful.

Out of interest, would you consider selling the Mavic QRs? I bought a wheelset recently with Mavic 500 hubs and the QRs weren't provided. I've been using some modern Shimano ones so far, which feels wrong, frankly!

Yes, carbon tubes bonded/screwed? into alloy lugs. Think the main tubes are hollow and the seat stays are solid.

P.S. She is now 'naked' and feeling a little shy...so no more piccies until her new clothes arrive from 'Alan'...

that is lovely, the chunky mavic chainset looks awesome against the skinny tubing and the match of dark carbon and alloy lugs and parts looks great.

it's also nice to something other than shimano or campag on an italian frame.

Alan made frames for several Italian companies as well as for Nishiki and Gitane. From reading about Alan bikes (I have one) I understand they did make some carbon frames for Colnago and that those had "Colnago" stamped on the seat post lug and do not have "Alan" on the head tube or the top of the forks as other ones have.

Anyway, you were probably not out of line to mark it "Colnago" as it is probably identical to the frame they re-badged. Here is the double downtube "Carbitubo" which sure has some similarities to the Alan.

That looks smashing. I'd love to see a British Eagle badged version too...
