DSP kindly bought me a birthday brunch at the Penny Pinchers cafe in Edale after we'd checked a few of the sometimes sketchier parts of the Special K Peaks route, prior to the National ride next week - hopefully the stellar weather of today will hold out til then.

First proper outing for the Cunningdale - handled well over nearly all the terrain except the big slabs from Mam to Hollins. Descending was fine except for dabs or remounts, as the saddle seemed to be set higher than on a conventional set up. On the road sections the aero effect kicked in - good news into a head wind.

Nice way to start my fifty first year...
