I've been struggling to build a frame up for ages now with similar issues...

It's generally in excellent condition, with a couple of 'detractors' from the paint...

It's too good to respray, but too bad to stick all the perfect new bits on that I've hoarded for it...

Complete bugger!!

??? Someone give you an offer that you couldn't refuse? $$$ ;) Or, you couldn't reconcile putting the newer bits on the older frame?
