Had this one for a while now but stripped it to build my GT IDXC.

Now have enough parts to rebuild the Merida and this is the end result

Its very similar to the Specialized Epic, i don't know how they compare, here's a pic of my old one.

Merida

Rides like a hardtail but kicks in when you need it....

Merida owns 49% of Specialized and are made to some extent in the same factory......don't quote me on this...

That explains the similarity between the frames...
 
There was also a Carrera that had the same set up as the Merida, tho that did suffer from cracks appearing on the frame :?
