i need educalting on tyres please

I have a nevegal to try

Oh thats good - i dont go out in the rain/wet, doctor says i might melt.

Around here.

Conti Twister SS, only good on one bike and then on the one off hot day.
Basically a Shite tire, also attracts hawthorns. Very quick and light though, hence a one day wonder every other time its very sketchy.

Conti Explorer Pro, Excellent, loved it, I don't remember it giving way on much, fine in the moist conditions too and coped with your sandy areas and even the wet grass clibs here. Worked fine on the road too.
iirc I used it a BDWII and was plenty fine in the moorlands and forrests.
But they don't make them any more, just a cut down steel bead version.
Not the most robust tyre though.

Schwalbe SnakeSkin EVO Nobby Nic, seems quite robust not heavy.
Seems to be fine on the Kona though I cannot quite get used to the largeness of it (2.25"), it doesn't seem to sit as comfortably with me and a bit more bumbling/lumbering. Everything round here has been no problem.

For the mud around here though the best tyre I've tried has been the
Panaracer Mud Pro 1.8". Great in the snow as well, not so nice when it's muddy sections and dry (it bounces of the chalky stone paths too much around your way) and feels funny on the road.

Mythos XC/Smoke/Onza Rip/Rail could be reviewed but are retro.

You're free to try any tyres you want, also Andy B may have input of a lot of Schwalbes in use around your way.
