There is a german brand that do cheap bikes which are good value for money but i cant remember the name!
They keep their bikes cheap by inly doing one bike per application
(1 DH bike, 1Xc bike etc.)
YT?

Thing is you can only buy direct with brands like YT industries, Radon and Canyon, which cuts us the LBS out of the equation :(

Yes! Thank you. Thats the one, was looking for ages.
Anyway if its order direct, is there no way around that?
Like have one of each of theirs on display and then just order in whatever? (i know you would still be posing as an lbs then but wouldnt that count as direct :? )

oops, didn't consider that...
They're great value if you know what geometry suits your riding style

I had a peek at the Radon site, some nice stuff. YT industries is more 'play/hardcore' bike orientated with very few models in the range

But many riders wouldn't know how to get the right bike for them without actually trying one

If there are any problems, then it's a long wait for the problem to be resolved as most of these deal direct companies are based in Europe without any support in the UK
