Also did a "nipple driver". Got an old screwdriver.

Tried to bend it but it was too thick.

Did the tip with a file so that it matches and engages those nipples properly.

Tried bending a thinner one and got a much better result.

Now to remove the old rims and do the new ones (tubular).

The old rim was about to fail. You can see the crack goes all the way through and can been seen from the inside.

Wish me luck! :D

Awesome truing stand, and its adjustable! Just recieved my wheels for my build today and nearly have most of the parts so i'll update my thread soon.
Good luck with the wheel rebuild.

Yesterday managed to transfer the hub to the new rim. Here's a clip of what the rim wobble looked like just after the transfer and then after some work.

This morning I've rechecked things again, applied more tension and rechecked again. Screw the freewheel back again. Applied some rim tape and the new tubular.

I'll check it again tomorrow, do some final tensioning, truing and check one last time. Then I just have to glue the tubular and I'm done.

Can't wait to take it out again! :D
