mr K was kind enough to sell me the titan half ton he had
so its off to the painters , unfortunately its painted wilh bombproof paint
it wont blast off so has to be burned off
not sure what this is going to result in but tuesday will tell
i hope pics and some better news then

said i'd never do it but starting a build log

I kept looking at this but luckily its too big for me, will be keeping an eye on this mike
as I think its a good looking frame and will make a sweet riding bike

will look good with some of the special "CNCbymikee" components on it.

well its back from the painters
however the brake posts have been painted :roll:

so i'll have to make a tool to remove the paint from them

Why not just paint on a bit of stripper :? or is it powdercoat,though i wouldnt think it would matter.

Already been done:

Can't wait to see this one, I had a 1/2 Ton 18 years ago and it was cooool! The paint was a heavy duty version of hammerite so I can only imagine the fun that was had removing it!

sorry guys no pics , battery flat on camera sort of excuse
so anyway , tonight between life happening i got some small bits done
first up is the painted brake post issue
my little tool worked a bit but not well enough to be bothered with ,so a warding file emery paper saved the day
i then had a rake for the bits i'd stored for it ,only to re-consider what i was going to use :roll:
i also noticed that i dont have a functioning head set
a quick rake on e-bay found a cheap 1 1/4" head set ,so bin'ed it
£6.50 , this coupled with the other spares box bits i have should make a functioning headset

sorry for my tardieness on this ,i usually have them built in about an hour
so some pics of the freshly powdered frame

its errr white , going to pluck up the courage to do a spatter paint job on it ,thinking black and purple for the components
