FSR Replacement Spring Shock Sizes

Bullpup

Senior Retro Guru
Hi there I am trying to sort out a potential replacement spring (and may be shock) for my FSR Pro which I think is a 98 or may be 99 model in any case this one:

The spring shock seems to be a Fox Vanilla TC but the spring has some of the markings rubbed away but seems to say 650 # *7*. Does this mean the spring is 1.75" travel? would a 1.5 or 1.6" fit? The Shock measures 160mm eye to eye would a 165 mm fit ok?

Many thanks

i always thought they were 165mm anyway?!
maybe just get an air shock?

165x38 is a pretty common shock
i guess the 38 would denote 1.5'' :? so not sure about the 7

i cant see there being any problems with a 168x38 though

will help you get the right spring rate required, then find one elsewhere.

i use a 165mm i2i on my FSR the old RS deluxe which was fitted as standard was also a 165mm i2i.

kind of odd that yours is 160mm :/

and yes the mounting kits from TFTuned are approx £15 per mount and you need 2.
not cheap but worth it, i run TFTuned mount kits on both my GC FSR & my Enduro.
