I know the simple answer is "measure it", but is that enough to be able to determine the bar clamp diameter of an XA stem? Is the only way to install it on a bar and see if it slips?
I have an XA with the central expander bolt, not the wedge type. I think the wedge type was the later version, but I also believe that they started making the 26.0 version with the central expander, non-wedge type...
The only markings on the stem are for the length (125mm).
Also, the front black circle logo is loose, it falls out very easily. On this stem, the hole that accepts the logo goes all the way through the stem - without the logo in place, the bar would be visible. On another XA that I have (confirmed 26.4mm), the hole does not go all the way through. Could this be an indication of a later version, possibly 26.0?
What's the best way to hold the logo in place? Some sort of glue to stick plastic to aluminim?
