Noleen NR shock Modification!

Having just sent three Noleen shocks to Mick Gardner Racing (UK based) for rebuild, I was given the sad news that two of the shafts are corroded and are not serviceable, as someone has corretly stated Nitrogen is used because it contains no moisture.

Air sits above a floating piston. If the seal on the piston in the remote reservoir. Only if the seal goes should the moisture effect the shaft?
If the shaft has corroded it will be from external damage?

if you go to most car tyre places they will do a nitro fill for £5! you dotn really need it though most shock now run one air as your really cant tellt he difference until you have been runnign flat out doen hill fro 5-10 mins,. so as long as you are nto runngin the mega avi you should be fine.
