what modern rigid fork would you recommend ...

am really fancying putting some decent rigid forks on it (trying to go back to my old marin days

If you're working to a budget, On-One make some pretty decent rigid forks for not much money.

Seconded, Salsa Cromotos are very nice for off the self and would suit a skinny framed Duster to a tee. Could be persueded to part with mine if you are looking for some to paint to match at the right money.

Ditto on the Salsa, but I also like the Orange segmented forks with back facing brake studs.

The Singular forks in my Swift were a very nice ride too, but I'm not sure if they make a 26" rigid fork.

thanks for all the suggestions everybody. ferrit thanks for the offer,but unfortunately do not have the money at present to buy them. (was going to get some after saving the cash.would probably be a few months to be honest) i must admit to being swayed by these http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FOOOCR26DO/on-one-cromo-26er-mtb-fork-disc-only as they do them in green (also reasonably priced) i think they would really go with the bike

on-one forks are functionally fine but look a bit clumbsy imo
the carbon ones they (and others ) do are quite good ,wish i'd never
sold mine
