Can anyone help me out a jam? (pic of mech hanger added)

The other day while on a rather pleasant jaunt I managed to mangle my bike...

In short the rear mech went into the rear wheel and it sheared off the mech hanger amongst other things...

Bike is a 2000 spec marin palisades trail....Had a browse around ebay but nothing much turned up....Is there a universal type I could use or any other I can use?

take a pic, especially of the broken off part, spares are out there matey....show us what is needed.
 
mech hangers are a nightmare to get the right one.
if you can find the right one it's likely to cost a few £££

i recently had to buy one for my enduro, took me nearly a day to find out which one it was that i needed, then had to find one for sale.

ended up getting one off CRC but it did cost me £20 :shock: i only spent £50 on the frame :LOL:
 
As Hamster says, try BETD - not the cheapest but they are better quality than most oe mech hangers. Also worth searching Wheels Manufacturing - widely available from any bike shop with a Madison account.
Or contact ATB sales who distribute Marin - they're very likely to still have stock and point you the way of your nearest dealer.
