Doh!
I have a NOS 281CD rim on the way I don't need but it's a 36.

Thanks Rob

I've bought 3 wheels off eBay since I started this build that were listed as 32h but when I received them they turned out to be 36's

Very frustrating!

36's I can get, 28's I can get but 32's are pretty rare...

There's 1 NOS 32h Vantage Pro on the Bay right now for a bargain £95 posted - but one's no good!

Why not go for 36h then? It's only 4 spokes, hardly a gigantic weight increase, and won't look any different.

It'd be a step backwards - I'm trying to do it right - every time I looked at the bike I'll be thinking "nice, but wish I'd waited for some 32's"...

... And the NOS hubs I already have are 32s.

Not a problem, I'll just do the wheels last

Saturday update

Forks have arrived & been powdercoated

Stem has been powdercoated

I had a great week last week

An excellent front mech turned up from Cornholio's RC100

On Tuesday I got offered a job managing a bike shop and started on Thursday - I've been flat out there since & loving every minute.

On Thursday the polishers called to confirm the frame was ready - am off today so picking it up this morning & am interested to see the results. When the guy rang he seemed to want to stress that it wasn't an amazing job so I am hoping he hasn't ruined it... as long as there's more shine than when it went in i'll be happy enough...

The saddle is still sitting in GB customs :x

Pics of frame hopefully up this arvo & then I can start the build in earnest :D
