Retro cars?

That Pic was taken during a photoshoot for Ulster Bank's new ad campaign, I was bloody freezing that day and I forgot to take a coat. Smacked the bottom of the car after a big jump on the way home too, luckly it has a sump guard but my back was shot for days!

Justbackdated- My SAABs are rally cars and not for sale I'm affraid (and horrible to drive on the road anyway!) I'm always being offered them though- will give you a shout if one turns up

NICE CAR man!!

I've been rebuilding a 220SE Fintail for 9 years now and never driven it- its still light years away from being finished. Whats she like to drive? Seriously cool cars those Fintails and quite rare now.

I,ve got loads of spares for them if you need anything inc a pair of mint front wings and a bumper which are getting impossible to find now. if you need owt just shout

Si

Not mine but owned buy a very close friend who lets me have a drive on a regular basis :)

Soulmates :D
These are excelent cars to drive, even more when you realise they're over 40 years old.
Lovely build cars with REAL materials!! and extremely reliable (probably will end up soon with car trouble on a rainy lonely dark road after quoting this.... )
Use it as a daily driver and took it the North Cape last winter (8700 KM!!) with no problems at all (ps mine is a 200 diesel)
Here some pics to get exited and make you work a bit harder on your Fintail this winter ;)

might be interested in the front bumper......

Fintails rock! I always start hummin the theme music to the BBC's production of 'Smiley People' (by John Le Carre) whenever I see one!

I think (IMHO) that they are among the greatest postwar German cars.

Pic's of my recently acquired E28 528i (another spy thriller car) coming once I start the resto back to showroom standard. :D

Bloody hell- got one of those too! kindrid spirits on here man! E28s are sooo underrated. I ran mine daily when I had a 150 mile a day commute and its showing 380,000 on the clock now. Its another one on the to do list unfortunately, Its needing a little bit of welding , new doors (minters that I stashed about 8 years ago!) and paint. I found some lovely Alpina wheels for it last month too. Ah if only I had time to sort out all my
cars

One beetle more...

Love the paint on that bug!

So much VW stuff is 'idealised retro' you know, the stuff that looks good now on an old car. That is properly retro cool, very nice indeed!
