on further research, the frame is a moser, so a decent paint job is needed now, as lazarus says, powder coat is not ideal, but would have done the job on a lesser frame i managed to get the handlebar stem out, and have repaired the holes someone had drilled in the seat tube, i am now thinking of a paint job based on the colours from the italian flag , mainly red with the green and white, to match the saddle in the original pics, i have sourced some decals as well,
all campag would have been nice, so i may fish around on e-bay and see if i can find some bits, it looks like becoming a bit of a project now, so i will be back on my old peugeot 501 for training / work for a while.
