Scott G-Zero Seat post

Hi

I have a 1999/2000 Scott G-Zero FX Team, which I recently bought off a mate, as my FSR is in need of some TLC.

The seat post that came with the bike is a bit tatty so I need a new one. I've searched the internet, high and low, but can't find the diameter of the post (why are there so many?!).

Could anyone help please?

it should be stamped on the bottom of the post unless its been cut off...

or take it to a friendly lbs and try a few out.
 
or measure post diameter? either use vernier calpers or a piece of paper so it overlaps, then draw mark across both pieces and measure distacne betwee nteh marks.

tis will be πD so do the math and hey presto!!!
