Yup , probably. I always like to leave a little slack in my SS chains, but not necessarily this much. 
You see many singlespeeds with the chain nice and tight. All this is doing is stretching it prematurely.
The track ends don't favour QRs either, so some bolt ups are probably in order.
That makes forks and wheels I need...
