Dirt Disciple
This is a project I've been working towards for a few years. It's not a period rero build. My intention was always to have a steel Italian frame with all silver alloys parts and traditional looking wheels.

Over the years I bought parts as I saw them. The wheels were built by myself a couple of years ago and the modern transfers removed. I tied and soldered the spokes for a good look as well.

I finally found the frame a month ago and it filled the criteria I was looking for.

Any ideas of age? I'm guessing early 1990's and waiting to hear from Tommasini. It's Columbus TSX tubing.

I would like the Tommasini pantographed shifters that are on Ebay but I've spent enough for now.

Thanks for sharing this fine bike :) Looks like years of collecting, preparing and patience came to a good end. Or is it just a beginning and do you plan to enjoy it on the roads?
 
It will be ridden. It is for the easy days to the cafe for a social chat and ride.

I've just updated the picture to show the new Veloflex skin wall tyres that are now on it.

I used to drool over the Tommasini frames in my favourite bike shop but never got the money or the nerve to buy such a bold frame.

That's a beauty.

The Schwalbe stand at the Smithfield Nocturne had a Tommasini Super Prestige with C-Record. I wish I'd taken a camera. Seeing that and yours has inspired me to seek out some C-Record stuff and proper retro mine.

This is all down to personal opinion of course, but I think those panto'd shifters are a bit fussy. The set you've got go very nicely with the colourful frame imo.

Congrats. Thats a really nice looking bike

The paint job and detailing look stunning in a classy kind of way. A match for Colnago, but more exclusive.
