Dyno 3 speed sprocket removal

Hi all,

I cannot find instructions on how to remove the sprocket. It is not held on by a circlip as per the AG instructions, it is threaded on in some way, so must be an earlier model.

Can anyone help? How do I remove this sprocket? I'm getting the hub rebuilt onto a different rim.

Thanks in advance.

Just drop the driver out, no need to risk removing sprocket. Rebuild the wheel then replace the driver with spocket still on.

Many thanks, does dropping the driver out involve the dismantling of the dyno hub side too ? I've heard that the dyno side of the hub needs careful handling?

Just undo the lock nut, tabbed washer and cone on the sprocket side, there is a weak spring behind the driver (the part the sprocket screws on to). The ring of loose 3/16 balls above the driver should be retained under their removable tin plate, but with wear may drop out.

I had a magnet keeper 50 years ago, and found that the magnetism was not lost if the keeper was not used, although many disagree.
