I am not really in the roadbike thing, but I do know this is a nice piece:

Peter Winnen of the Capri Sonne team wun the stage to the Alpe d' Heuz on a similar bike in 1981. Remember hearing those where made on the same 'line' as 3Renchos, but unfortunately I weren't able to verify so far.
