1989 Mountain Goat Delux californian yuppie

Hi,

i've been stroking the old goat for a while now!
Frame is to big for me really,
i have been thinking about selling the frame to fund a merlin,
which is what i've always wanted.

She is not in the best of condition,
Some bad chips and scratches also a small ding in the seat tube.

What do you think?

I have just got an 1989/90 Alpine LX 26" wheel bike. Have a look at http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... 22#1136222 to see my first thread on it.
I'd just like an idea of the value of the whole bike or just frame/fork/stem as those are the nice bits. :)
Thanks

Hi,

first post

just came accross this site whilst looking for whether my old rockhopper is worth anything.

i think its about 1997
its a small,
steel frame (nitaniun tubing)
its like a nickel colour
ridgid forks
trigger shifts

i have changed a few parts (forks, seat post, grips etc) but i still have all the original bits in full working order.
the bike is absolutly mint, it still had the original tyres and brake pads and stickers.

i have been toying with the idea of selling it and buying something newer and lighter!

any info would be great

cheers

russ

Another one!

Hi all,
As you can see I'm a newbie so please be gentle with me ;)

Some random chat with buds on our Sunday outings has lead me to this site. My lovely Mrs arranged for me to get a new MTB for my 40th and I'm thinking what to do with my trusty old steed, a 92 Dawes Edge LX.

Had the mighty Dawes from new & over the years has changed a fair bit BUT, I've kept all the original parts and have put them all back on. Think the only alteration from original is, that in a moment of madness, I cut the massive bar ends down to a reasonable size.

Million dollar question ~ Any idea on it's value? Being nearly 20 years old, it has a few light scrapes, but no dings or rust. Also, very slight buckle in the rear wheel rim. If I though it worth enough, it'll be up for sale (really need to free the space up, but need to satisfy my conscience  )

Thanks in advance for the help

Looks in good condition, if you split it things will fly out, to get prices for individual bits you can do a quick search on here or ebay,
As a full bike then a lot less, say 200 to 300 quid.

a pair of 26-inch HED wheels...?

hi all-any help muchly appreciated as ive no idea...

front-Deore LX Parallax hub double walled rim 32 spoke...true and good

rear-unknown black hub double walled rim 32 spoke...wee wobble in it,1 spoke needs replacing as its bent...all bearings grand

hope the pics show condition okay...a bit of wear where the carbon meets braking surface and the valve hole in the carbon has enlarged a wee bit,but generally seem good to me....

what d'yees reckon?

big tas in advance,p.
