Retro Newbie
Hi everyone, Ive got a Geoffrey Butler track bike which Ive had since 1984 and used to race on Reading track all those years ago. I did use it for training on the velodrome once I moved to Manchester but replaced it a couple of years ago.

Im thinking of getting the frame resprayed but im not sure yet. What do people think ?

GB.

Looks good.

Interesting that the typefaces are different on the seat tube and downtube - I used to walk past GBs shop everyday on my way to school.

My GB is red with a white head tube.

Roadking.

Looks good as it is. I'd leave it :D

My thoughts as well. No bad defects and a bit of 'track patina' always goes down well with the cogniscenti.

Smashing looking bike.

I used to ride at Reading track - but in the late '60's.

My thoughts as well, has a nice classic look to it. Looks to be in good condition, so probably best left on original paint & decals :)

nice setup. +1 on leaving it as is. I would say you've got some more years to get out of it yet before its tatty enough to really need a respray. I like the used look.

Different saddle & project finished. I really like the graphics a very cool looking bike.
