I built a fake Guvnor too!!

Started with A very old Dawes from of the bay, Mines not exactly finished have her stripped down again and need some more period parts.
Rode her fixed and brakeless to work for a couple of months, Certainly wakes you up in the morning!!

Found my Holdsworth in the garage! Reynolds 531, with 501 forks, all campag dropouts, SR chainset, GB stem. Campag hubs.

Should I go the SS route with it???

If so, any suggestions? Are there fat 700c tyres out there?

I realise now (after checking online) there are hundreds of tyres available.

Dont want a fixie though, would like to somehow convert my Campag hub to a single speed! It was originally running on "tubs" as a racer, so I need to change the rims! Would be nice to keep the original hubs!

Any suggestions?

Very well done. You have pretty much built yourself a Scorcher. Albeit without the suicidal fixed wheel. Very pretty bike and I bet you have a lot of fun on it.
