Mongoose Amplifier - Retro advice needed

I'm rebuilding my amp which I believe is '93/'94 and hence my most retro machine, however my knowledge of pre '95 is a little sketchy! I would like to build it reasonably period correct so I'm looking for some pointers.

So far it's got the original Control Tech stems and Mavic headset.
Wheels are 231CD on XT m730/732 hubs with unknown purple skewers.
Onza HO brakes.....and I've got a shabby m900 rear mech.

advice please.

How about full XTR M900 ? Works well and looks good. Black Flite definitely.

I'd use all black LX personally.

Those tyres don't suit it though - give them to my and I'll take them to the skip on Sunday!

You've made a good start, looks ace. I have a soft spot for these, especially the original twin downtube model. A mate used to race on one with a control tech post and stem, syncros bars, deore XT bits and onza pedals.

Would put XT 73- series on it, maybe with Cook cranks.

Sell the brown Flite to me and replace it with a black one

I had thought of selling it........as you can see it is a little small for me :?

But I do like it's wierdness and the fact that it's damn light

m900 would be the obvious choice, a little pricey but would keep the weight down.

The Flite is orange BTW.

Your ti bikes can't be heavy ? IMO should keep to the black/silver theme going. Call me old fashion but seats should be black same as tyres. Agree with madcawkev on the tyres
