Replacing brake levers for a flat bar set-up

I have some Avid SD V brake levers leftover from an MTB project that have adjustable leverage or is it more about cable pull? I've heard V brake levers work but can feel a little dull and they're either on or off in feeling and no great modulation.

The SD levers will work with either. Dial the red adjuster all the way so that the cable inner's barrel is nearest to the bars for cantis or calipers, all the way away from the bars for V's.

this alters the leverage and so the cable pull. I've used these in mixed systems on my racing pedalcar with drums and V's.

Can somebody tell me what brake levers would be suitable on a flat bar running dual pivot brakes?

I've used various, including several early '90s Shimano (DX etc.) and more modern flat bar specific levers, some Acera work as do all R440 models.

I'm going to see how the SD levers go, failing that I have a pair of MT63's that I know will work. Just got to decide what bars I go for.
