ripped out a thread on a pivot bolt on a frame of mine
bolt goes through a cartridge bearing and then bolts together the chain stay and seatstay pivot/junction

(one on either side)
this is disc side, the previous fix for the same problem on another frame was to put in a nut and bolt which sufficed :)
that was on drive side though, the broke one now is on disc side so a nut and bolt would foul a larger rotor (or any rotor possibly, havent checked)(small rotor is not an otpion  )

so, where do i stand, can i retap it? how does that work exactly?
or tap it bigger?
or another fix?

If you can't fit a bigger bolt then fit a helicoil-they simply rock

with a bigger bolt, i presume i need to tap it to a bigger thread?
or just go at it until the bolt carves a new thread in the soft 'aluminum' ?

cheapest option possible here
but i may just have to get a helicoil set at some point
bear in mind though that the bit which it threads into, is only about 6mm thick

(orginal bolt is allen key size 5mm (so m5 thread?)
