Pace aluminium steerer 1 1/8"

Just won myself a nice Syncros Cattlehead on fleabay so it's diet time for my Pace (steel steerer and Syncros Cattleprod can go) and I need an alu streeer that I can fit to my RC36 Pro Class.

I'm too stupid to know how long I need it though

...

How tall is the headtube? How much stack height is there on your headset? How many spacers do you want to fit? What does the clamping part of your stem (can't think of a better way to describe it!) measure vertically? Add all those together plus a bit for the lower headset cup and another 10mm or so for peace of mind and that'll be roughly what you want.

Don't forget to add on the bit that needs to be clamped into the crown of the forks!
