853 vrs 753

So how do the 2 tubeset compare, is 853 a later replacement for 753 or a tubeset for a different purpose as I see more than just road frames built from it.

You could tig 853 and it was o/s compared to 753
753 is very brittle and difficult to build properly and in the main built lugged.
753 is nice to ride in an old school way ,853 feels more modern to ride
They are not really similar tubesets .

i remember being shocked when 853 came out cos the few frames i saw weighed in more like a 531 frame!

not nice.

753 - the best a man can get!
